Shibarium hopes to lure users to a low-fee ecosystem focused mainly on financial services and gaming. The Ethereum layer-2 network will utilize BONE, TREAT, SHIB and LEASH tokens for applications built on the blockchain, which could lift the prices of these tokens as demand increases.

opBNB test network PreContract hardfork changed to August 22
BNB Chain stated that due to problems with the previous opBNB testnet PreContract hard fork, the block height of this hard fork was changed to 5805494, which is expected to occur on Aug 22, 2023, at 06:00:00 AM UTC.

The Starknet 0.12.1 upgrade aims to improve transaction efficiency as part of the Starknet Quantum Leap. Currently, invalid transactions waste valuable sequencer resources without paying fees. The upgrade adds a validation stage before sequencing to filter out invalid transactions earlier. Failed transactions will have a REVERTED status & be included in the block, paying fees.
