The developer network Dencun-devnet-8 is live

Parithosh Jayathi, an engineer at the Ethereum Foundation, tweeted that Dencun-devnet-8 is live. Its the next iteration in devnets, aimed to allow clients to test interoperability with the latest spec.

Shiba Inu’s Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium goes live

Shibarium hopes to lure users to a low-fee ecosystem focused mainly on financial services and gaming. The Ethereum layer-2 network will utilize BONE, TREAT, SHIB and LEASH tokens for applications built on the blockchain, which could lift the prices of these tokens as demand increases.

opBNB test network PreContract hardfork changed to August 22

BNB Chain stated that due to problems with the previous opBNB testnet PreContract hard fork, the block height of this hard fork was changed to 5805494, which is expected to occur on Aug 22, 2023, at 06:00:00 AM UTC.

ConsenSys L2 Linea Completes its Alpha Mainnet Launch

The ConsenSys L2 network Linea has completed the Alpha mainnet launch, Linea has deployed its ERC20 token bridge with a canonical token list that will allow all Third Party Bridge Partners integrated on Linea to empower users across the globe to bridge ERC20 tokens to the Linea Network, unlocking a wave of DeFi applications.

Sui mainnet has been upgraded to version V1.7.1

The Sui mainnet has been upgraded to version V1.7.1, which includes a number of fixes and optimizations, including: the protocol version has been upgraded to version 20, a new Kiosk Extensions API and a new sui::kiosk_extension module have been added to the Sui framework, Developers can use this API to build custom Kiosk applications to extend basic Kiosk functionality, etc.

Starknet mainnet will be upgraded to version 0.12.1

The Starknet 0.12.1 upgrade aims to improve transaction efficiency as part of the Starknet Quantum Leap. Currently, invalid transactions waste valuable sequencer resources without paying fees. The upgrade adds a validation stage before sequencing to filter out invalid transactions earlier. Failed transactions will have a REVERTED status & be included in the block, paying fees.
